Last April, One Voice conducted a citywide Arts Workshop for the Youth of Tacloban, not only to teach them art skills, but also to help them debrief the trauma caused by Typhoon Haiyan. This was done through 14 different kinds of art. The 3-day workshop resulted in writing compositions, sketches, photographs, and songs that we desire to compile into a coffeetable book and music album. We hope you can partner with us in making these projects a reminder that beautiful things can come out devastation.
Five pillars were presented as the backbone of the program for the Youth of Tacloban. A-lleviation, L-ivelihood, I-dentity, V-alidation and E-conomy. These are the values that surrounds the projects One Voice has for the Youth of Tacloban.
We believe that the Tacloban youth has a vital role in the rise of Tacloban City once again. And we also believe in preserving the art of these youth. We hope that you can join us in helping them.
