On May 1st, 2025, the Jesus Festival disrupted what would have been a typical Labor Day commemoration in Noveleta, Cavite. Flags swayed in the air, displaying vibrant hues against the drab landscape of gray buildings and roads. Shouts for Jesus dominated the hustle and bustle of Magdiwang Highway, momentarily overwhelming the noise of various candidates competing for government seats. Men, women, and children gathered at the Noveleta Welcome Arch, carrying water bottles, fans, and tambourines, unfazed by the beads of sweat forming on their foreheads.
They all marched toward the city hall, braving the scorching heat of the summer sun, parading their handmade posters, proclaiming the Name above all names—Jesus.
This was not just any parade. This was His festival.
Honor and Unity
Under the direction of Pastor Roy Salud, the Cavite House of Prayer spearheaded the Jesus Festival, convening different ministerial streams in one table. Noveleta Ministerial Fellowship, Cavite City to the Nations, and YWAM Impact joined in organizing this full-day event.
As iron sharpens iron, and one man sharpens another (Proverbs 27:17), the churches in Noveleta and Cavite City inspired and strengthened one another through the exchange of ideas. Although bringing together many distinct voices could have made reaching consensus difficult, a spirit of mutual respect and appreciation for the unique gifts of each represented church made it possible to speak with one united voice.
As each has received a gift, use it to serve one another, as good stewards of God’s varied grace: 1 Peter 4:10 ESV
Little by little, the Jesus Festival began to take shape, birthed from the unity of the different churches and ministerial bodies, and forged with honor. As these groups merged, a new cry arose, granting new authority to the Bride in the region.
One Body with Many Parts
People gathered at True Faith in Christ Ministries not as members of various churches, but as members of one Church. Church memberships blurred as the Jesus Festival kicked off with a powerful time of worship and prayer.
Soon after, different teams were released and deployed to strategic locations throughout Noveleta to share the Good News. YWAM Impact ventured into the marketplace and street corners, visiting every vendor to preach salvation to anyone willing to listen. They concluded each conversation with prayers that brought miraculous healing to the non-believers.
All the while, worship and intercession continued in the churches. There was no division in that moment—only one body with many parts functioning as they should. Evangelism, signs and wonders, worship, and intercession pressed forward together.
Jericho March and the Triumphant Entry
By mid-afternoon, the entire delegation of the Jesus Festival filled the streets, bringing not just worship, intercession, evangelism, and signs and wonders, but the Kingdom of God to the very veins of the city.
Jesus Festival delegates marched with their weapons of worship, momentarily pausing to dance and jump to the rhythm of the music blaring from speakers mounted on trucks. Colorful ribbons spiraled and twirled, amplifying the joyous shouts of His Kingdom and Lordship, even emerging from the mouths of little children.
This Jericho March didn’t just occupy Noveleta; it dismantled the walls of disunity in the area. Walls of embarrassment and segregation crumbled under the stomping feet of a united family of churches, proclaiming His name on the grounds of this city. While the full realization may be far off, the seeds of unity planted on the very streets where revolutionary victories for the nation was won.
Jesus was enthroned in the parade, not in a Hosanna of desperation or need, but in a Hosanna that recognized Who Jesus is—the One True King, worthy of the entire city. The cry of Hosanna echoed from a deep yearning in the hearts of the people for Jesus to come once again and take His rightful place.
In that moment, Jericho and Jerusalem converged at the shouts of the Jesus Festival delegates, aligning the city with the purposes of Heaven. Walls that hindered the rule and reign of Jesus crumbled, ushering in a new Kingdom order—the Kingdom of Jesus.
Chorus of Praise
With the aftermath of Typhoon Paeng 2022 in mind, the throng of people that flooded the open space fronting the Noveleta City Hall because of the Jesus Festival was a sight to behold. In a town where flooding is common occurrence, the presence of Jesus flowed over the crowd like life-giving, thirst-quenching, refreshing water on that dry and humid dusk.
The Jesus Festival suddenly shifted from merely an event for churches into a joyous, inclusive gathering that included bystanders and passers-by, all joining in a chorus of praise, extolling the mighty Name of Jesus.
Every man, woman, and child whose voice raised a hallelujah to the King of Kings added to the chorus of praise—a striking contrast to the traditional karakol that celebrated patron saints in the same location.
The culmination of the event took place outside the Noveleta City Hall. It wasn’t solely about proclaiming Jesus as King; it also marked a significant moment of reclaiming the land of Noveleta and its people. The hours spent in worship, prayer, and evangelism were not just to pass the time; they served as a testament that even in this day and age, Malachi 1:11 can still become a reality—both a geographical span and a time marker—that Jesus’ Name will be made great.
It is not just a prophecy to be awaited. It is not only a promise to be claimed. It is also an invitation to step into—to align the earth with heaven, extolling Jesus in every place, at every hour.
A Call for Fathers
Now in its second year, families have joined the Jesus Festival. Like caravans, fathers and mothers involved their little ones in the enthroning of Jesus.
Pastor Roy Salud stands as more than just the founder and director of the Cavite House of Prayer and the current lead pastor of True Faith in Christ Ministries. His vision for the Jesus Festival transcends his immediate leadership role; he envisions Noveleta as an altar dedicated to Jesus, not only for the adults who are already in the movement, but also for the next generation. He envisions a new generation of runners who will not only capture the vision but whose lives will be transformed by it. He envisions a nonstop raising up of the next generation who will respond to the worth of Jesus, setting aside not just one day, but all the days of their lives for Him.
But for now, the work of enforcing God’s Kingdom on earth begins with just one day.
One Day and Everyday
The pitch for the Jesus Festival was simple. It all started with just one day.
A day of worship.
A day of praising.
A day of singing unto Jesus.
A day where Jesus and His work is glorified.
A day where Jesus’ worth is displayed.
A day where His followers reclaim the territory that belongs to the Lord.
A day where His Kingdom is manifested on the earth.
Though the journey to 24/7 worship and prayer is not straightforward, it only takes one day to spark a revolution of revival.
In the Jesus Festival, one day serves as a catalyst, hastening the day when Jesus is hailed as King every day. It is the promise of a future where every day becomes a celebration of Jesus.
Editor’s Note
On May 1, 2026, another Jesus Festival took place in Noveleta. This time, houses of prayer and churches came together to complete a 50-hour worship and prayer burn—culminating in a much larger, more crowded Jesus Festival parade. The theme “All for the One,” still carries forward the echoes of the previous Jesus Festival: that whether One Day and Everyday, it is All For The One.
