Ram Esteban Estael

Ram is an independent film director and a philanthropist born and raised in Agusan Sur.

This Manobo young leader and aspiring film documentarist was immersed in community volunteerism way back in 2013-2019, serving far-flung and poor villages of the Bangsamoro Region. He represented various youth conferences and training, both national and international, and became an active youth coach to his peers and an adviser to several organizations. The range of his experiences celebrate stories that led him into filmmaking. Despite being new to film in 2020, Ram gained a masterclass scholarship from the Mowelfund Film Institute. He has received  both local and international training, helping him hone his craft. He has won awards and recognition from film festivals like QCinema, Dokyubata, Sundayag, Cinemalaya, Gawad Esquimbing-Escandor, and many more. He has also been part of the Philippine delegation to Cannes 2021.

Ram’s advocacies in mental health, soul care, environmental protection, and media became his standpoint for his current endeavor where he usually channels his inspirational talks and films. He founded Shine for Jesus Camps, GFAAGC Media Team, Creative Team and Vineyard Films--a media production which gathers youth volunteers who are passionate in media art forms.

At present, this adventurous, forbearing, and detail-oriented leader is a member of MoveIn Philippines and the Managing Director of Shelter Now Filipinas, a humanitarian aid organization that helps the people of the Near and Middle East.
